If you have shopping on your mind when you are vacating in Goa then take your shopping bags along with you wherever you go! Because you really will not be aware of where you can buy the best of what Goa has to offer. Even if you are planning to visit any of the famous beaches, keep handy some cash for shopping as well. Anjuna beach is a popular one and it also holds one of the most famous markets. It is a flea market that is held every Wednesday on the rocky beach of Anjuna. It is wonderful world of colors and crowds. You can find here a plenty of versatile material such as spices, clothing, ornamental crafts, fabrics, handicrafts of Goa, Kashmir and Tibetan stuff etc. You can also find Goan trance music collection in this market.

Another of the market is again at a very well known beach of Goa i.e. Calangute Market Square. The market stretches all over the beach, which itself is four miles long. The street shops here offer leather items, jewellery, metal crafts and Goan souvenirs. It is one of the most happening places because the shacks on the beach are overloaded with astrologers eager to tell you your future. You can also explore the Tibetan market on Calangute. The pleasure of shopping in a market located on the coastline of the Arabian Sea is a wonderful experience.

Moreover, you can also a find a good shopping hub at Mapusa market. Mapusa is basically a small town that is located around the Mount Alto, which is some 13 kms away from the state capital. It is a popular market in North Goa since roads were made. This market is held every Friday and it offers fresh fishes and fresh juicy fruits. The Goan people prefer to do their every day vegetable shopping from here. Along with that, the tourists can buy earthen pots, junk jewelry, Goan pork sausages, channa baskets, glass bangles, spices, Pickles and preserves, coir mats, prawns and dried fish and the famous country liquor etc.

Your last stoppage for shopping could be the tempting Baga beach, situated just 10 kms away from Mapusa. Baga beach is considered as an extension of the Calangute beach. Here, you can explore the famous Saturday night market, where you can relish the Goan food in the small shacks and beach huts. You can also find the famous “feni” of Goa in this market. This market gives you a great experience of filling up your shopping bags under the night sky and the streets are lit with lamps. The best buy stuff here is clothes, bric-a-brac, trinkets, Goan cuisine and other exotic delicacies. There are other stalls such as tarot reading, woodcarvings, palmistry and funky haircuts.

Next when you stop at Goa to spend vacations, do not just limit yourself with exotic beaches. There is a lot to explore in Goa, do not come home empty handed from Goa.
